Rainbow Six Siege was my core project in my time at Ubisoft. I worked within a team of ~30 spread over the german studios, as part of the larger international team. Good communication and documentation was essential, ensuring as well that the team kept to our structures and conventions. Being a live game with a large player base the quality and performance requirements were of the highest degree. My team was mainly responsible for menus and monetization features as the loot packs and battlepass. As part of this team I was at the forefront of converting the UI to the new UI tool as well as the subsequent 2021-2022 brand refresh. Part of my role was to keep on top of our technologies and ensuring the team knew how to use them, assisting them as needed. I taught our UI artists how to use the more technical Phoenix UI tool to make their vision reality, and took on the more complex features that were needed. Additionally I extended the possibilities for VFX in our loot pack system, subsequently making the VFX for the varied types of packs.
