About

I'm Joana Almeida (she/her), a technical artist from Portugal, with most of my career spent in Germany (with a short stint in northeastern England). I have over a decade of experience with a range of games both in indie and AAA. My focus has been on UI implementation, materials, VFX, as well as supporting and training artists in the usage of engine and tools.

I have worked on products such as Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege, within an international co-development team updating the live game with new content and improvements, and Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure, breathing life into the delightful indie game.

I'm based in the Cologne region in Germany.

Scramble Quest Devlog #5: Effective systems

Didn't expect this long of a break between posts! I know several people have read the devlog lately and I've been told it's an enjoyable read. Thank you :)

Scramble Quest Devlog #4: Taking action

Hey everyone! Phew it's hot, huh? What a summer this was. Glad it's over soon. It's- it's not? Oh boy, I wish someone had predicted climate change, and done something about it.
