I was picked for the MGZsheroes program this year! It’s run by the fine folks at the Mediengr\u00fcnderzentrum NRW and will give me and a group of absolutely incredible women the chance to learn and grow as founders and help us achieve our goals. Genuinely, every single one of this cohort is aiming to change the world for the better, trying among other things to create space for new more inclusive generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This cohort was picked by a jury of experienced professionals, and I’m just going to copy and translate the list from the press release here:
Sophia Tran<\/strong>\u00a0(Founder and CEO of Spotlight! and Spotlight! Ventures\u00a0as well as NRW state spokesperson of the Startup association and member of the advisory board Junge Digitale Wirtschaft),\u00a0Pia Billecke<\/strong>\u00a0(head of the WDR radio editorial team),\u00a0Odile Limpach<\/strong>\u00a0(founder of SpielFabrique 360\u00b0, professor of economics and entrepreneurship at the TH K\u00f6ln and head of the Cologne Game Lab Incubator) and\u00a0Christine Kiauk<\/strong>\u00a0(managing director and producer of COIN FILM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m of course focused on founding a game studio to get my game, Scramble Quest, made. Though as it’s stated in the press release, I’d hate for it to be one and done, and aim for a small and diverse team that can do different kinds of stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We just started, but what we’ve already done makes me far more confident in what I’m doing and I’m excited for what’s to come! We’ll be having seminars, mentorships, and coachings all the way until end of October, to help us do our best and make our mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
